The Slovenian Museum of Natural History is the sole national natural history museum in our country, which has been carrying out its vocation since 1821.
It holds the largest founding collections of the first museum in Slovenia and several other natural history collections that constitute the Slovenian archives of nature. It manages the oldest alpine botanical garden in a natural environment in Slovenia - Juliana in Trenta.
